CSR - but only with the heart!

All the talk about CSR (Corporate Social Responsobility = Social Responsibility).
Often we hear business leaders talk about what that good CSR strategy gives the bottom line. It annoys me actually. That is, it's true that good deeds are rewarded, but is the whole secret of a good CSR strategy is not to be "genuine social responsibility." That is, provide a good heart, without ulterior motives involved. Thus an input to the CSR debate about the use of resources and time on the real involvement. Drop management language, strategies, PR plans. For the key to success lies in giving and doing something for other people because you can and want to make a difference.

And we know it so well! We experience it every day in relationships with friends, partner, colleagues. Think about how you feel if you get a gift that someone does you a favor, or the like. And you're not sure that his motives?

On the other hand, most of us die for real friendship and loyalty. The same applies to the CSR. Finally, if you will measure your CSR activities the I would recommend an ethical accounting as supplement to the annual financial accounts.
