More and more NGOs and businesses are using microfinance as a tool to work with gender equality and poverty reduction in developing countries. But leading microfinance to equality? What is it that goes wrong when it does not? And how the Ministry works with gender and microfinance?

Come and debates with Pind, hear him talk about his views on gender and microfinance and how it interacts with the new Danish development strategy. Hear also the experiences of the internationally recognized gender and microfinance expert Dr. Linda Mayoux and Chairman of the Danish Forum on Microfinance, Ph.D. students and micro-finance adviser in DCA, Ole Dahl Rasmussen.

  • 16.00 to 16.30: Dr. Linda Mayoux talks about her research and subsequent questions from the floor
  • 16.30 to 17.00: Ph.D. student and chairman of the Danish Forum on Microfinance, Ole Dahl Rasmussen on the efficacy studies of the relationship between microfinance and empowerment of women
  • 17:00-17-30: Questions from the audience + rounding
